You Look Familiar . . .

I sent this picture to fifteen people who know me really well, and I included one simple question:

“Where do you think I am?”

Diane lal

Twelve out of the fifteen people texted or emailed me back and wrote, “Where?”

They had no idea that it wasn’t me at all!

Two out of three of my kids didn’t realize it was a different person!

Crazy, huh?

Only one astute friend noticed the wedding ring on this woman’s left hand and concluded that it wasn’t me. This is a friend who is definitely attentive to details!

Periodically, people will say something like, “Wow, you look so familiar.  Do you have a sister or something?” Apparently, I have one of “those” faces but this person REALLY looks like me. My husband’s friend recently met this woman and as soon as he saw her, he HAD to take a picture and send it to me!

What really makes it bizarre is this —  her name is “Diane” too! I mean, what are the chances of THAT?

People say, “There’s no one like you, Diane”  . . . well, I’m not so sure about that!

You look familiar...

You look familiar…

  1. Actually, when I looked at the picture I said, “That’s not Diane” before I had read the rest. The nose is all wrong!!
Larry gets mistaken for someone else all the time. His reply usually is “Did you owe me any money?”.

  2. I would have been friend number 13….

  3. I agree with Kathy….the nose is too long….but otherwise she certainly looks like you. Even though I am a twin….looking nothing like my sister, I saw my double down in Florida and couldn’t stop looking at her….almost like looking into a mirror…..eerie for sure. xo ‘Mrs. B.’
