Winds – 40 KPH
When you live right on the water, this is a strong wind. It roars and it rumbles, just like the freight trains that come through. This wind stings your face and it carries a dusting of snow that cunningly finds its way down the back of my neck, despite my wraparound scarf.
Add some snow and in ten minutes, the front door goes from this –
to this –
What an incredible day – a winter wonderland. It just took my breath away. I couldn’t help but stop and do a 360° turn, just so I could take it all in. So much whiteness… so much stunning beauty.
Our house doesn’t even look real – like a poorly done Hollywood movie set.
It was a crazy day to go cross country skiing on the lake but Chris and I put on our four layers of clothing and headed out into the wilderness and the white outs.
Blazing tracks on the freshly fallen snow.
Whipping our faces as we thrust our poles into the ice.
We noticed that no one else was out and about.
They missed out on this glorious Sunday afternoon moment.
Have you entered the treasury of snow? Job 38.22a
The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit. John 3.8
I get cold just looking at those pictures:-) It is beautiful though!

Beautiful writing and beautiful pictures. Brrrr. Kind of like from Dr. Zhivago in Russia.
Yes your house does look a movie set! Hey Mark, get your painters on there to finish the set!
