An Awesome Christmas Card

I was involved in some great gift giving the last couple of days but this was definitely the best Christmas card ever!

Eight-year-old grandson and articulate describer, Phoenie, spent a long time working on this homemade card. He came up with all the adjectives in the acronyms for P-A-P-A-K and N-A-N-A.

This is the front of the card.

This is the centre of the card. That’s Santa on the  Left with his four? reindeer…possibly flying by a huge piece of swiss cheese?? Notice the acronym for NANA. Very special. It made me smile.

This is the back of the card. Chris got a VERY strong review this year!  Apparently, he’s a bucket filler.

It just doesn’t get any better than this – “I love you both so much (maybe more).”

I so appreciate the simplicity of Phoenie’s words. We’ve had eight Christmas times with him and we are so thankful to God for his many expressions of love, his creativity and his perspective on life. He keeps us laughing and thinking.

Christmas is toning down now after three full days but hopefully not, the Christmas spirit of giving.

Somehow, not only for Christmas,
but all the long year through,
The joy that you give to others,
Is the joy that comes back to you.

John Greenleaf Whittier

The flow of
blessings in our
life is directly
related to
our passing
blessings along
to someone else.

  1. Grandkids are wonderful!
Phoenix isa caring, loving and observant child….a wonderful example from his Papak and Nana. Now it’s your turn for an acronym for Phoenix.
    Happy Boxing Day!

  2. What a wonderful tribute to you both! I want to be known as a bucket filler too! – One who fills another’s bucket full of joy and comfort and love!
