March Breaks Are For Savoring Good Moments

So far, it’s been a busy March break but today, I can slow down a bit and savor some good moments….like the first sign of the lake beginning to melt…

…a wonderful time in God’s word, reflecting on God’s forgiveness…

…my first bike ride of the season…

….this incredible video of an owl landing on a security camera…

…seeing a bunch of elementary school boys playing baseball with their shirts off because of the warm weather…

…Joshua Ledet’s standout performance of “When A Man Loves A Woman” on American Idol…

…and thoroughly enjoying a delicious French Mint chocolate bar while I sit on the back deck, reading an entertaining book entitled, How Not To Write A Novel.”  Decker the squirrel is right beside me, anticipating my generosity in nut throwing.

There are so many minutes in a day that don’t “feel” great – I mean, we all spend a great deal of time doing what we have to do. We get through our day but we don’t get enthralled with it. As I have gotten older, I have had to train my mind to choose thankfulness and look for the lightness in life.

It’s there. It’s all around us…in the simplest ways.

There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.
– Albert Einstein
